The Thousand Islands Fine Art Association (TIFAA) is hosting its 36th annual show September 15 and 16, and on the following weekend, September 22 and 23. As it has been for several years, the show will be held at the Thousand Island National Park Visitor Center, located on the Parkway at Mallorytown Landing. Everyone is welcome during the opening hours from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and at a reception with refreshments and music on Sunday, September 16 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Admission and parking are free. The Thousand Islands Fine Art Association (TIFAA) was founded in 1983 by a group of local artists who shared a passion for capturing the beauty of this area in their paintings. It has been active for all these years and has held annual shows each fall. Its members meet regularly to paint together and advance their skills. Their artworks vary greatly, from paintings in a classical style to abstract works of art. The photos below show the Plein Air painters watching a demonstration at the May Plein Air session and painting at the recent paint-out in July. 21 members will exhibit their current art works at this year's show.
