Gananoque – The 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce is proud to present Ana Davreux as the new Tourism / Social Media Youth Intern for the 2016 summer season. Ana will be responsible for keeping the Chamber of Commerce up to date with local events, as well as creatively promoting and advertising the interest of local businesses to prospective visitors. She will be using her fluency in English, French, and Spanish to answer the various phone inquiries that the Chamber receives on a daily basis. Her other responsibilities require her to keep a close eye on day to day developments within the region to reinforce the Chambers voice of business within the region.

At the age of 19, Ana is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Bishops University in Quebec, where she also holds the title of Academic Mentor for their Student Council. Ana has spent a large portion of her life residing within our beautiful region of the Thousand Islands and has a high degree of familiarity with local businesses and points of interest. She joins our Chamber having previously completed work engagements with Clarke & Wright Law Firm.

Ana hopes to use her outgoing personality, and creative thinking skills to further enhance the Chambers of Commerce’s day to day involvement of the betterment of local businesses and industry.

The 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce has the amazing task of promoting business, industry and a sense of community within an area that almost sells itself.

The Chamber covers Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, including the villages of Seeleys Bay, Lyndhurst, Lansdowne, Rockport and Ivy Lea and all points in between.

The formal objective of the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce is to promote and improve trade, commerce,  local culture, and social well-being of the district served by this organization.
